This is the personal blog of Jonathan Littlewood. A web application architect, he has an overpowering love for new technology, ubiquitous computing, photography and frogs.

The Electric Frogplate first appeared in the mid-eighties on the Commodore C64-based Compunet system. This was a page-based online service for C64s (and later Amigas and Atari STs) that allowed users to construct their own pages - pretty exciting stuff in 1984, even if it did trundle along at only 1200/75 baud.

By the time Compunet finally managed to kill itself off the Web explosion was underway and the Electric Frogplate moved to Compulink Information eXchange (CIX) servers, where it concentrated on all things PDA, including being the home of the Psion Series 5 FAQ.
